Nation States Kingdom of Alvia Royal Wedding RP

Wedding begins at 6:30 Eastern Standard Time. ((Unless dinner starts then in which case postponed until 7:30))

The Soviet Helicopter flew high above the ground below, the sound of the rotor blades was extremely loud. The Soviets within the helicopter didn't mind, however, they were used to it. All but one of them wore combat uniforms and balaclava. Though they didn't openly carry weapons, it was clear that they were packing some form firearm. The man without a uniform was none other than Sergei Mortalno, the Soviet Arstotzkan Premier.

He was a tall man, his black hair was combed with a right part, and it was starting to grey. His eyes were an intense blue. The way he held himself screamed 'I could say tow words and you will disappear into the night'.

From the cockpit, the pilots could be heard making arrangements to land. At this, the soldiers snapped to attention. The Premier smiled at them and nodded before turning to face the cargo ramp of the chopper. Two loudspeakers mounted on the rear began to blare the Soviet National Anthem.




As the helicopter touched down, the Soviet soldiers marched out, keeping in step with their glorious anthem. The Premier followed behind them, his face becoming a nearly blank slate.

At the Grand Temple in Rosemont, thousands have gathered to witness the weddng of his Majesty King Andrew of House Webster, the first of his name, Lord and Sovereign of Alvia, Keeper of the Faith, and Defender of the People and Lady Elwinnee of House Temina. Among those gathered for the ceremony include nobles, foreign dignitaries (including Emperor Kelly of Kedor and the Vice President of Stjrene and his family), family of the couple, military commanders, and members of Court.

The Grand Temple, already usually bustling with activity, is packed to the gills despite the extensive presence of security. Members of the Royal Guard, dressed in ceremonial armor line the aisles. Members of the Rangers are rumored to be hidden amongst the guests ready to spring into action should the need arise.

King Andrew stands near the altar looking a bit nervous. Around him are members of the elite sworn brotherhoods; the Seven Swords, the Banner Guard, Clan Guard, Goddess Guard, Blade Guard, and Lords Guard all in formal array. The members of Rose Guard stand with the King's mother for the last time as at the end of the ceremony they will be sworn to the protection of the new Queen.

At the altar is Kyoko Vth Walcroft, Eldest Sister of the Temple of the Two Goddesses. Some foreign dignitaries seem a bit confused or amused that the leader of Alvia's largest religon is a seventeen year old girl.

Outside thousands of people line the city streets eager for the wedding to begin. The streets lined with members of the Silver Cloaks, the Rosemont City Guard and core of the regular army, stand at attention in full dress uniform. Around the country millions of citizens are glued to their TV sets. Around the world almost as many if not more are watching as well.

General Secretary Cornwallis arrived in his helicopter, two guards by his side. He wore a military uniform and looked rather miserable due to current events at Faustin Land.

Emperor Kelly from Kedor arrives in a Valkyrie with two Imperial Stormtroopers at his side.

He wears a Business suit and looks rather monotone.

Members of the Royal Guard meet with the newly arrived leaders and usher them into pre prepared limousines to take them to the wedding with full police escort.  

The Soviet soldiers look at the guards untrustingly, before they enter the limo they wordlessly check it over for possible bombs before opening the door for the Premier to enter. One of them forcibly removes the driver and takes his place.

"Be getting in back." One of the soldiers says to the driver, opening the door and directing him to sit in the back with the Premier. When he complies, the soldier taps the top of the limo and gets in. The Limo follows the escorts at a distance, silence reigning for the entire trip.

When they arrive, the Soviets allow the Premier to exit before allowing the Limo Driver to leave. He's sweating nervously, something about the Premier was just... Unsettling. The group of Soviets moves as one towards the palace, ignoring the crowds and even a few 'Boos' hurled their way.

Cornwallis enters the limo with the Premier. He takes out a cigarette and his guards light it for him.

Kelly takes separate limo and enters with his Guards and takes a seat.
The Limo joins the line.

They are lead into the Grand Temple and are taken to their seats.

The sound of thunder filled the air before impossibly snapping, and creating a shuddering boom that knocked dust from the rooftops. The staccato of balance thrusters fire before a large, humanoid figure lands in the middle of a courtyard, partially cracking the pavement.

He stands up, thruster tubes retreating into the mechanical suit without a sound and the helmet of the armor retreats to reveal the face of the Lord Marshal, sovereign militaire of the Novan Republic. He steps across the street towards a limousine, the driver of which looked incredibly uneasy. The vehicle tilts to one side as the Lord Marshal climbs into it, tires and shocks creaking in protest when he settles in the middle of the seat.

The vehicle sluggishly drives off, weighed down by six hundred kilograms worth of metal-encased human within.

With some difficulty the limousine carrying the Lord Marshal of the Novan Republic reaches the Grand temple. Like those before him he is lead inside by members of the Royal Guard to his seat.

(Everything is so quiet.)

A bell tolls through the temple, signalling everyone to assume their seats as the ceremony is about to begin.

Then an Organ begins to play and as one all gathered turn to watch the main doors. In enters Lady Elwinnee followed by a train of brides maids. At her side is her father Prince Loren of House Temina ruler of Faewood.



As they make their way up the aisle each member of the royal guard draws their sword in salute. Guests clap, almost drowning out the sound of the organ. At the end of the aisle Prince Loren turns to his daughter and gives her a kiss before assuming his seat in the front row.

Elwinnee and her brides maids take their positions opposite the King and his entourage. The bell tolls again signalling everyone to silence once more.

With a bemused expression on her face the Eldest sister straightens up at the altar. She makes a smal cough to clear her throat before begining to speak.

"Friends, loved ones, esteemed foreign guests I bid you welcome," she says. "We live in troubled times, of this there is no doubt. But this gathering in and of itself is proof that love, friendship, and hope can weather even the harshest of storms. We are gathered here in the sight of Gods old and new to unite two souls in holy matrimony; King Andrew of House Webster, the first of his name, Lord and Sovereign of Alvia, Keeper of the Faith, and Defender of the People and Lady Elwinnee of House Temina."

She allows a pause for applause.

A loud obnoxious clanking permeates the building even after the applause has died down. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out why.

"Love is a mystery to all of us," the Eldest Sister continues. "Some will claim they have the answer only to be proven wrong. Love is many things and takes many forms. In marriage it is a journey that two souls must walk together. One cannot be leading or pulling the other along, such love will surely fail. This a path that must be walked as equals, side by side. Each supporting and caring for the other."

On cue the King and Lady Elwinnee step forward before the altar.

"Certain symbols must be given by each, not the least of them love itself," the Eldest Sister says.

"Symbols as binding as any oath. To always keep one another close to their heart."

The King is given a royal blue cloak with Royal coat of arms painstakingly weaved onto the back. Lady Elwinnee meanwhile is given a small golden ring.

"Do you King Andrew of the House of Webster, the first of your name, Lord and Sovereign of Alvia, Keeper of the Faith, and Defender of the People take Lady Elwinnee of the House of Temina as your lawfully wedded wife, to honor, guard, support, cherish, and love even in the depth of despair and the darkest of hours until death do you part?"

"I do," the King replied.

"And do you Lady Elwinnee of the House of Temina take King Andrew of the House of Webster, the first of his name, Lord and Sovereign of Alvia, Keeper of the Faith, and Defender of the People as your lawfully wedded husband, to honor, guard, support, cherish, and love even in the depth of despair and the darkest of hours until death do you part?"

"I do," Lady Elwinnee replied.

"If any should have any sound reason why these two souls should not be joined," the Eldest sister said. "Speak now or forever hold your peace."

Cornwallis remains quiet and sips a cup of wine.

The Soviet Premier contemplates screwing with internation politics, but decides against it.

"Filthy Elf." Mutters one of his guards, getting several nods from his compatriots. "We should wipe them all out..." The premier coughs and the soldier stops talking.

The Eldest Sister gives the King a nod and he removes Elwinnee's green cloak. The cloak is passed to her maid of honor while the King places the royal blue cloak about Elwinnee's shoulders. He ties it about her neck and then steps away.

Delicately Elwinnee places the golden ring upon Andrew's left hand ring finger. When finished she lifts the ring up to her lips and kisses it. Then the two step apart holding each-others hands.

"By the power invested in me, I Kyoko the fifth to hold that name since the first Eldest Sister of the Holy Order of Puella Magi, pronounce you as husband and wife," the Eldest sister proclaimed. "Your Majesty you may kiss the bride."

The couple lean into one another and kiss the thunderous applause.

Then both kneel as Andrew's mother walks up to the altar flanked by the members of the Rose Guard. The Queen mother kneels before the Eldest Sister who then removes the crown from her head. The Eldest Sister then walks around the Altar to stand before Elwinnee and then lowers the crown onto her head.

"By the power invested in me I name you Elwinnee of the House of Temina, Queen of Alvia." She said before stepping away. The King and Queen both rise now as the members of the Rose Guard draw their swords and kneel in homage to their new mistress. The rest of the members of the seven orders do likewise.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," the Eldest sister proclaimed. "I give to you the King and Queen of Alvia!"
Thunderous applause break out not only in the temple but across the city and the entire nation of Alvia. Slowly the newly married couple begin to walk down the aisle as the Eldest sister began to sing.

Unable to stand the sound of filthy Elven music, the Premier stands from his seat and makes his way to the exit with his guards. As they go, they begin singing their own song, a far better, far more glorious song.

The newly married royals step out into the sun light and the cheers of the people. Awaiting them is a traditional royal chariot pulled by two of the finest horses in Alvia. Together, waving to the crowd they step onto the chariot which starts on its way on a tour through the capitol city.

Meanwhile the guests are quickly moved into private cars to take them to the Seaside keep for the reception dinner. What followed involved a lot of drinking, dancing, some drunk kareoke, and the next morning many, many, many pills and cups of black coffee.

While there was still trouble in the world there was also still light and hope for a new, better tomorrow. Even if it was a small hope. Who knows? As a wise girl once said, "If it's small enough, a real miracle might just happen."
